Salbei - FARBIO® - Nachhaltige Bio-Flüssigdünger aus Hamburg

Common sage (Salvia officinalis) is the best-known representative of the sage genus, which includes around 900 species. It belongs to the mint family and has its origins in the Mediterranean region. Like most other Mediterranean herbs, sage likes it warm and sunny in a sheltered spot. It prefers a well-drained soil and does not need to be watered often. Although it is hardy, it is still advisable to cover it to prevent frost damage. In the pot, it should be placed in a frost-free place. It forms small purple flowers that can be used as an edible decoration. Its leaves can also be used as a medicinal herb. As a tea, they help against a sore throat.
