Spinat - FARBIO® - Nachhaltige Bio-Flüssigdünger aus Hamburg

Spinach ( Spinacia oleracea ) belongs to the foxtail family and has its origins in Southeast Asia. It is a classic winter vegetable . It is planted in February or March and can be harvested for the first time after 8 weeks. However, at some point the spinach starts to flower and loses its flavor in the process . It can also be planted in August or September, when it is so cold that it does not flower and you can harvest fresh spinach all winter long . Its preferred location is sunny to semi-shady with loose, humus-rich soil . Spinach has a large water consumption . Since it is mostly cold and wet in winter, it gets by with rain outdoors. On the balcony it should be watered once or twice a week.
