Karotten - FARBIO® - Nachhaltige Bio-Flüssigdünger aus Hamburg

The carrot ( Daucus carota ) belongs to the umbelliferae and is the best-known root vegetable. The normal carrot develops a thickened orange root . There are also purple or white , thick, long, or thin round carrot varieties . Depending on the variety, you sow them directly outdoors or in pots from the end of March. The location should be sunny to semi-shady with loose, sandy soil. In hard soil, the carrot does not grow well and multiple tops often form. After about 10 weeks the first carrots can be harvested. It is best to harvest as needed and the largest carrots first. So the even smaller ones can use the space. It is also advisable to sow after 4 weeks, so that you have fresh carrots until autumn.
